After purification of nanobodies, their specificity to antigens, affinity, and corresponding cellular physiological functions are characterized using methods such as HTRF. This characterization of the biological activity of nanobodies aims to explore potential research and medical applications, laying the foundation for subsequent product development. As shown in the figure below, HTRF technology is employed to assess the binding and affinity of nanobodies to GPCR.
